Bad customer service. I have been unable to speak to anyone, calling many times.

I was emailed a code to get into the property and decided I may like to make an offer. I gt on the website and messaged them that I need to deal with a live human being to discuss this an they told me they're out of NY and to call the agent or whatever they really are. I told them I had with no answer other than a text with the lock code. If I'm buying a house, I can't even talk with the seller?????

They made have had successes this way, but certainly NOT with me. I was ready to make a cash offer. I went online and made an offer, a low one to get someone to call. They never called or even emailed!

It's been over 24 hours, what a joke of a company. This company is not professional at all, way to many warning signs here. I have bought many homes in the past and have never encountered this lack of motivation on the part of a seller. Don't waste your precious time and energy on these folks.

I suspect they're not even legit, although I don't know for sure. They won't be in business long.

I suspect they want land contract folks, to charge crazy interest rates to, taking advantage of the poor?? I can think of no other reason they won't take my cash, or even answer or counter my offer.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Location: Norway, Michigan

Tried to buy a piece of property in Panama City, Fl from Castlerock REO for cash. Offered their asking price.

First thing they did was bump up the asking price. Said we would pay that. Then they said it was a net price they would pay no part of closing. So we said, okay, send our attorney a deed and we will send the cash and then the attorney can record the deed.

That's when Brendan there said we were being "too pushy" and refused to deal any further....as another poster said "What are they up to?" Seems like a scam to me.

I have been in real estate for 30 years if its not a scam then its the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. By the way, I have five college degrees in business and real estate as well, and their closing team leader who is uh ah a Public Notary had the nerve to act like I could not understand how things worked!

Same here....wanted to pay cash and they waited over a month to see if they got any other offers. I don't think they really want to sell houses, I think they're looking for contract buyers.

I am currently having the same issue with an IL property. Response time is slow & then more information keeps coming to light jacking the final price up by asking buyer to accept previously unstated responsibility.

House is listed as-is, but then upon contact they say, buyer must pay all closing costs, except commission. Ok fine, I've got cash & I'm ready to close like today, so lets do this, but then upon moving forward with contract, it states buyer accepts all tax liability. WHAT? So buying a house in end of Dec.

& seller not ponying up prorated taxes for 2016?? Thats crazy, so now were are already talking thousands over listed price. THEN, we were contacted by our title company & not only have 2015 taxes not been paid, but now they have been bought by a 3rd party. So on top of everything the title isn't even clear & the buyer would be stuck with closing costs, full 2016 total tax bill, plus 2015 taxes including the buyback cost & interest at 18%...

The seller is still trying to say its only $2000, but the courthouse says different.

My dads a real estate appraiser in the area for over 35 years, I know exactly what they paid for the house & how much its worth now. They could afford to meet us in the middle on the asking price, & we would be willing to take care of all their taxes to make the deal. They would still be walking away with a profit, so not sure what the problem is? Never been treated so poorly with a quick cash offer & earnest money in hand...

TAKE THE CASH PEOPLE!!

Moral of the story... dishonest, scam artists who are trying to sneak the out the door price up 25% of listed price by trying to scam all their unpaid tax mess & closing costs onto the buyer!!!

SCAM! Read the the FINE PRINT with these guys!

They are just awful. Yell you, don't respond to your questions, lead you on, answer in brief, poorly constructed sentences, you name it.

Totally unprofessional and out to screw the buyer with a horrific purchase contract and undisclosed costs when they accept offers. Disaster.
